You know why Warwick's is such an enjoyable place to spend either an hour, or a lazy afternoon? Because it's charming, has tremendous staff, is conveniently located in the heart of La Jolla's shopping district, and has such a wide variety of books and knick-knacks, there is literally something for everyone. Sure, they're the oldest family-owned bookstore in the country. And that's saying something, in this "big box world of shops." But it's the hometown feel you get when you enter that makes you feel like y'all are old friends. An added bonus comes when famous authors appear for book signings. In fact, just recently, my wife Tammy and I attended a night with Don Winslow, author of THE BORDER, THE FORCE, THE CARTEL, POWER OF THE DOG, and many more. So, take from your friend, Dave; if you enjoy sipping a cup of coffee while lazily perusing the aisles of all sorts of delicious distractions, visit Warwick's in La Jolla...you'll thank me!
