I never thought I’d rave about a small airport.

QUICK TAKE: GO — AND DON’T RUSH THROUGH IT.

A tiny airport, one restaurant, unexpectedly good food and the kind of human service that makes travel feel civilized again.

We were leaving town after a convention and stopped at the airport’s only restaurant expecting mediocre airport food. Instead: great food and one of the nicest, most charming waitresses we met, with a terrific sense of humor.

The surprise. Small airports can feel purely functional; this one felt human. On warm days, I’m told you can sit on the deck and watch the planes come and go.

Honestly? Nothing worth bitching about.

Yes. The original review supports the recommendation.

THE VERDICT

GO — AND DON’T RUSH THROUGH IT.

I am not looking for reasons to destroy somebody. I’m looking for reasons to recommend them. They just have to earn it.
