Big, bold, tasty — and almost painfully loud.

QUICK TAKE: GO — BUT KNOW WHAT YOU’RE WALKING INTO.

On its second night open, the food and service impressed me. So did the noise, the prices and — bizarrely — the complete absence of coffee or espresso.

Fun, engaging service. Excellent appetizers. A sliced prime rib sandwich that may have been the best I’ve ever had. Handsome design, an impressive inside/outside bar, and terrific live music.

The sheer VOLUME. We were outside and it was nearly uncomfortable. No coffee or espresso after dinner is a BIG miss. And expect the check to land closer to a serious night out than a casual neighborhood drop-in.

Probably — because the food, drinks and experience delivered. But the pricing is absolutely something to consider.

THE VERDICT

GO — BUT KNOW WHAT YOU’RE WALKING INTO.

I am not looking for reasons to destroy somebody. I’m looking for reasons to recommend them. They just have to earn it.
